Do you offer a free trial?
Yes! We offer a 7-day free trial on our paid membership plans.
During your trial, you can:
- View up to 5 company profiles.
- Explore the platform before committing to a subscription.
- Please note that exports are not available during the free trial.
You can cancel your trial at any time within the first 7 days and receive a full refund. If you decide to continue, you can switch to the full membership at any time during your trial to unlock all features available in your selected plan, including unlimited company profiles and export capabilities.
What do I get with a Free account?
The Free account allows you to use AI-powered search to explore coverage of our database.
The Free account does not include access to company profiles, contact data, watchlists, or data exports.
What do I get from the Basic membership?
The Basic membership tier offers unlimited access to the PrivCo platform including company profiles and company watchlists with alerts. Company profiles also include contact information for key executives.
Export functionality is not included in the Basic plan.
You may cancel your subscription at any time.
What do I get from the Pro membership?
The Pro membership tier offers everything in the Basic membership, plus the ability to export watchlists of up to 5,000 companies per month, as well as access to all available contact data.
The Pro plan also includes dedicated account support and access to the Data Team for custom requests.
What plans are available for API access?
For advanced workflows or full platform access via API, we offer custom Unlimited/API plans.

Data
How do you generate your data?
PrivCo's data is generated through a combination of proprietary research and multi-source aggregation. We start with a foundation of raw signals drawn from licensed third-party datasets, government and regulatory filings, court records, news and trade publications, company digital footprints, and our own database of 100K+ M&A transactions built over 16+ years.
From there, our research team and proprietary financial models do what no single source can: construct the numbers private companies never disclose. Revenue, EBITDA, and valuation estimates are generated by triangulating across independent signals - company fundamentals like headcount and footprint, industry benchmarks refined over 16 years, hard data events such as filings and disclosed deals, and pricing evidence from comparable transactions. No single signal produces an estimate; convergence across signals does.
Before anything reaches a profile, it passes through verification: automated checks flag inconsistencies across sources, and our analysts resolve them. Machines flag; humans judge.
Are your valuations pre-money or post-money?
Our valuations are always post-money unless otherwise stated.
Why doesn't the data on PrivCo match other known sources?
Due to the hidden and complex characteristics of the U.S. private market, most public sources about private company financials are not trustworthy. PrivCo provides the clearest lens into the landscape of U.S. private company financials by combining verified public references, expert research analysts, and artificial intelligence-powered financial modeling.
What if I notice a data point that doesn't look right?
You are able to request an update from any company or investor profile by clicking the three dots button next to the profile name and selecting Request Update.
Please specify the data point and conflicting data source if you have one. Our team of data researchers will look into the profile more carefully.
What private companies do you cover?
Our main focus is U.S.-based private companies with over $1 million in annual revenue. Over 85% of our coverage is bootstrapped or family-owned companies that have not raised any outside funding from venture capital or private equity.

Do you cover international private companies?
We focus on U.S. private companies but do list international companies that have raised funding rounds over $50M.

What is your cancellation policy?
For Basic and Pro customers, you can cancel at any time from your account settings. You will retain access to the platform for the remainder of the billing period.
For Unlimited/API customers, please contact your account manager directly to discuss cancellation according to your agreement.
